Company owners Dave and Debbie Clark are California transplants, and have been living in Grand Rapids, Minnesota since 1993. They owned a successful landscape installation business in northern California. However, the area was rapidly growing and they wanted a slower paced, family friendly environment in which to raise their four children. After considerable research they discovered Grand Rapids, Minnesota. "That's when we knew we found our new home," recalls Debbie.
In the spring of 1994 the Clarks launched a landscape business but found it difficult to purchase a diverse selection of quality plants in the local area. The following spring Bloomer's was born! "I've been a landscaper for more than 30 years now, and have always enjoyed the challenges and satisfaction each project brings," states Dave. "I do the greenhouse growing, keeping our little plants healthy and vigorous in our hanging baskets, planters and pots. It's very personal to me. I love tending to our nursery, but all the credit for the beauty and design of our arrangements goes to Debbie and the staff. Her leadership facilitates creativity in our employees, and without such a terrific team, we would be just another garden center."

PRE-PAY & HOLDING PROGRAM AND POLICIES
Our prepay and holding program allows customers to pay for and reserve hanging baskets, planters and full flats to be cared for, at no extra cost, until pick up dates listed below. Full flats must be the same size and variety of plant material. The watering needs of different plants species do not allow for mixed plant varieties within the same flat.
PICK UP DATES
To avoid maintenance fees, Bloomer's encourages customers to pick up prepaid and reserved merchandise by these days:
Hanging Baskets - The Friday before Mother's Day. Although we offer a one week grace period, maintenance fees will be assessed beginning the Saturday after Mother's Day and every Saturday thereafter until merchandise is picked up. Customers are responsible for assessed fees on prepaid or reserved merchandise not picked up, regardless of circumstances.
Planters and Full (same species) Flats - On Monday, Memorial Day. Maintenance fees begin the Saturday after Memorial Day and every Saturday thereafter until merchandise is picked up. Customers are responsible for assessed fees on prepaid or reserved merchandise not picked up, regardless of circumstances.
Merchandise left in the greenhouses past pick up dates specified above will be charged a maintenance fee of $5.00 per hanging basket, planter or full flat - per week. This charge is assessed every Saturday after pick up dates expire. Customers with prepaid merchandise agree to and are responsible for the maintenance fee incurred after pick up dates have expired regardless of circumstances.
Example: 3 hanging baskets are left in greenhouse 2 weeks after final grace period date (Saturday after Mother's Day). Customer will be charged a $30 maintenance fee.
At Bloomer's we work hard to provide remarkable customer service. Our prepay and holding program helps ensure you receive the best possible merchandise by specified pick up dates. However, because the volume of visitors to Bloomer's significantly increases after the pick up dates, it becomes difficult to control and police every aspect of uncollected reserved merchandise. Remaining reserved products run the risk of having their sold tags removed, crop loss or even disappearing. If prepaid or reserved merchandise happens to disappear for unknown reasons, we will give you a full refund. Please keep your receipts!

TREE AND SHRUB WARANTY
Trees and Shrubs are guaranteed to be healthy and winter hardy. We offer a one year guarantee from the date of purchase.
Neglect, abuse, or animal or insect damage will VOID the Warranty. To get your replacement you must bring in your receipt and the tree or shrub that needs replacing.
